I printed mine out full sized and laminated them to make them more durable. Here are a couple ways we use our flashcards
Letter Hop
Place all the letters on the floor in a long line in alphabetical order. Stand in front of the letter A and hop to each letter as you sing the alphabet song.
Letter Hop Extreme
Really challenge your child’s letter knowledge and remove a few from the alphabet order. See if they can recognize when a letter is missing as they sing through the ABCs. Step it up again and scramble up your letters.
Alphabet Sounds
Start in the same formation as the Letter Hop game. This time as you hop to each letter, practice your phonetic pronunciation and word recognition. Ex: “A is for apple, ah ah apple”, “P is for pizza, puh puh pizza”.
ABC Matching
A good letter matching game that my son loves is incorporating our upper and lowercase letter magnets. We keep them in a basket for quick use. After laying out all the flashcards, mixed up, on the floor, he picks a letter from the basket and matches it to the correct flashcard.
You can print these 2 per page for smaller, traditional sized flashcards too and use them so many different ways. Share with us how you use your flashcards!
