Introduce early addition and subtraction to your kiddos with these cute spring themed boards. Math can turn into a fun game when you incorporate some manipulative pieces.

Laminate your boards so you can reuse them with a dry erase marker.
Use a dice or number flashcards to add or subtract.
If you don’t have math manipulatives available, you can use so many affordable options. We love small, craft pom poms or erasers from the Target Dollar Spot. Small toys or even candy will work, as long as you don’t get too distracted by them.
How To Use:
Addition
Tell your child a number, show them a flashcard or roll a dice. Write this number in the first box and place that number of manipulative pieces on the picture.
Have them roll a dice, or give them another number. Write this number in the second box and add that number of manipulative pieces from the picture.
Count the final total of pieces and write this number in the last box.
Subtraction
Tell your child a number, or show them a flashcard, 6 or higher. Write this number in the first box and place that number of manipulative pieces on the picture.
Have them roll a dice, or give them another number, 6 or lower. Write this number in the second box and take away that number of manipulative pieces from the picture.
Count the remaining pieces and write this number in the last box.
Incorporate Negative Amounts
Roll a standard game dice and write the number in the first box. Place that number of manipulative pieces on the picture.
Roll the dice again and write the number in the second box. Add or subtract that many pieces.
Count the total pieces and write this number in the last box.
